Code orange for dangerously high temperatures has been issued for ten regions of Bulgaria, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has reported. The temperature will reach 39-40 °С in Blagoevgrad, Plovdiv, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora, Silistra, Sliven, Pazardzhik, Haskovo and Yambol. In the rest of the country, the highest temperatures will be around 35°С and for them the warning code is yellow.
Until the end of the month, when temperatures are above 35 °С, the movement of trucks over 20 tons will be restricted from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. due to the risk of deformation of the road surface.
