Injured Bulgarian fan remains in hospital in Skopje

Bulgarian fans released from arrest in Skopje, July 29,2023.

The Bulgarian football fan who was stabbed in a clash between Bulgarian and Macedonian fans in Skopje is in stable condition. After undergoing surgery, doctors recommended that he remain in hospital and not travel to Bulgaria yet. Meanwhile, the Bulgarian prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the attempted murder of the 29-year-old man.

The 21 Bulgarian supporters of Levski football club who were detained and subsequently released have now returned home. They were fined just €300 each - without being charged, as was initially expected.
Consideration is being given to the possibility that RSM fans will not be allowed at the return match between Levski and Shkupi, which will be played in Sofia on Thursday.
