The Solidarity campaign in support of Ukrainian refugees ends on 31 July. In the framework of the campaign, Ukrainian citizens with temporary protection status in the country received support for rapid integration into the labour market. Employers were provided with funds to pay their salaries and social security contributions. As of June 2022, around 2,600 Ukrainian citizens have found employment under the programme.

Ukrainian citizens can now benefit from the new EU-funded "Start a Job" project. Incentives for professional retraining and vouchers for Bulgarian language tuition are also to be introduced. According to the unified information portal "BGforUkraine", more than 95 000 Ukrainian citizens live in the country, more than half of them children.
