An agreement under the Bulgarian-Swiss Research Programme was signed today by Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev, Minister of Education Galin Tsokov and the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation Raimund Führer, the Ministry of Finance has reported.

With a budget of nearly 12 million Swiss francs, the program will support joint work and exchange of experience between Bulgarian and Swiss scientists. Another important goal is preserving the interest of young and promising researchers in the scientific profession and their realization in Bulgaria.

The Swiss-Bulgarian Research Program is the first officially signed program within the framework of the Second Swiss Contribution to the enlarged EU, including 15 member states.
