The export of Ukrainian agricultural products was at the centre of discussion during an online meeting between Bulgaria’s Minister of Agriculture Kiril Vatev and his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Solsky.

“We are making every effort to be of assistance to Ukraine. We are ready to assist, as best we can, a free and smooth transit of all Ukrainian products via Bulgaria,” Minister Vatov said.

On his part, Mykola Solsky thanked his Bulgarian counterpart, and laid emphasis on the importance of goodneighbour relations and of the support for his country. The two agriculture ministers agreed to continue discussions on issues of importance to farmers.

According to UN data, seven ships with farming produce from Ukraine – part of the Black Sea grain deal – have reached Bulgaria.
