Descendants of refugees from Macedonia to send their statement to the US Congress

The Association of the Descendants of Refugees and Immigrants from Macedonia has submitted to the Parliament's Secretariat a proposal for measures against a draft resolution received in the US Congress, which calls for September to be declared "Macedonian American Heritage Month".

The draft document also calls for celebrating the language, history and culture of North Macedonian Americans and their contributions to the United States. This is the third consecutive attempt by Skopje to manipulate senators and work against the objective facts, the Association points out. They recall that the previous two attempts were rejected by the House of Representatives and the Senate. In the coming days, we are to send a reasoned statement to the US Congress, the association reports.
