"It is absolutely unacceptable that in 2023 there will be ostentatious murders in Bulgaria. Nor is it acceptable for foreign security services to discover Bulgarians who are Russian spies in the United Kingdom, while we learn once again from the media."

This is what the co-chairman of the PP-DB parliamentary group Kiril Petkov wrote in his Facebook profile on the occasion of today's murder of the businessman Alexey Petrov in Sofia.
In his words, what is happening "speaks of the need for urgent reform in the Security sector. The services must start working effectively".

He promised MPs from the group to work with the government for "real and quick results". In September, the PP-DB will submit proposals "to improve the work of the Bulgarian security services and free them from foreign dependencies".
