President Radev sends condolences to Joe Biden over devastating wildfires in Hawaii

Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev has sent a letter of condolence to US President Joe Biden on the occasion of the devastating wildfires that caused the loss of many lives and significant damage on the Hawaiian island of Maui. 

Radev expresses sympathy and condolences on behalf of the Bulgarian people and on his own behalf to the relatives and families of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery of the injured and a speedy recovery of the damage caused by the natural disaster. 


More than 100 people have died in the wildfires raging in Hawaii since the beginning of August. Thousands are missing. The town of Lahaina, on Maui's west coast, was almost completely consumed by the flames.
