Today, August 20, the Zoo in Sofia is hosting the initiative of the Sofia City Library - "Green Libraries", we learn from the zoo's official Facebook page.

From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., everyone can see the "Greetings from Sofia" exhibition there, which presents the appearance of the capital through the history of postcards from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Valuable and rare books will also be displayed books on the topic of zoology, from the collection of the Sofia City Library, among them are the first identifier of birds in Bulgaria (1909), rare textbooks on zoology in different languages, as well as the first unique editions for children of the Bulgarian classics Ivan Vazov, Petko R. Slaveykov, Kalina Malina, etc.

Each visitor can donate a newly read title from their personal library and pick up another interesting book, thanks to the "Shared Books - Take, Read, Return" initiative. For the youngest visitors, gifts are also prepared - children's books, and the book house in the zoo will be stocked with up-to-date sought-after editions.
