Todor Tagarev to participate in an informal meeting of the EU Member States’ Defense Ministers in Toledo

Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev will take part in an informal meeting of the EU Member States’ Defense Ministers, which will be held on August 29 and 30 in Toledo, Spain. The focus of the discussions will be the European Union's contribution to Ukraine's security, including the EU military mission in support of Ukraine, military assistance to Ukraine and assistance measures under the European Peace Facility. 

The regional and global implications of the Russian aggression against Ukraine will be discussed as well. NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the United Nations Under-Secretary General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix were invited to participate in the meeting.
