Prosecutor's Office: Vassil Bozhkov was extradited by UAE, did not return voluntarily

Businessman Vassil Bozhkov was extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Bulgaria on August 25 and did not return voluntarily, the Prosecutor’s Office said. The state prosecution received official notification of this from their Arab colleagues on August 28. So far, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has not received a court order from the competent authorities of the UAE regarding the extradition decision. According to Free Europe's sources, Bozhkov was given a ticket for a flight, but he was not escorted on board the plane by security.

Vassil Bozhkov was detained upon his arrival in Bulgaria.
