Autumn session of Bulgarian Parliament begins with expectations for quality legislative activity, but also for resignation of the cabinet

Before the start of the autumn session of the Bulgarian Parliament, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov stated that the most important task before the deputies is the preparation of the state budget, as all policies for next year depend on it. The Prime Minister singled out Schengen and Eurozone laws as priorities. "We accept them in order to fix our lives in Bulgaria, I hope this will happen quickly and with quality", he commented.

"This new season we have to change the Constitution, we have to launch the Recovery Plan, we have to make sufficient progress on Schengen and the Eurozone, and finish these topics. The point of forming a government was only this", said GERB leader Boyko Borissov upon entering the parliament.

PP-DB MP Yavor Bozhankov also singled out as a priority the bills related to the Recovery and Sustainability Plan and the anti-corruption legislation, pointing out that Bulgaria was lagging behind in the utilization of the funds under the plan. "The fight against corruption is an important factor for our acceptance into the Schengen area," he added.

According to Ramadan Atalay from MRF, the new parliamentary session will be fruitful, especially since, in his words, there has never been a more stable parliamentary majority.

"The only thing that is done after the government is formed are scandals about appointments, about personnel decisions and there is not a single proposal on the problems of the citizens, namely security, incomes, inflation," said Georgi Svilenski from the BSP.

The main priority for "There is such a people" (ITN) is to overthrow "this harmful government", announced the chairman of the party's parliamentary group Toshko Yordanov. He expects the resignation of the cabinet next month because of the incompetent legislation.

From the parliamentary rostrum, the leader of Vazrazhdane party Kostadin Kostadinov announced that "today a Bulgarian - Milan Dimitrov, will be tried in Greece for extradition to the USA". According to him, this case has remained hidden from the public and the ruling parties, but it is symptomatic of the way Bulgaria has been developing in the last 34 years.
