Rositsa Dencheva wins first match at US Open

Young Bulgarian tennis talent Rositsa Dencheva qualified for the second round of the US Open Junior Girls’ Singles. She defeated 6:4, 6:1 Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo (USA), ranked 49th in the world rankings. Tonight Rositsa Dencheva will play against fourth-seed Sara Saito (Japan).

In the first round of the tournament, sixth-seed Iliyan Radulov lost 6:7, 4:6 to the 22nd-seed Rei Sakamoto (Japan).

Iva Ivanova and Elizara Yaneva are expected to play their first matches at US Open today.
