For the month of September, reservations for caravans, bungalows and campers have almost doubled compared to the same period last year, according to karavani.bg - the largest camping platform in Bulgaria.

More than 50% of its users, who booked a holiday at a Bulgarian campsite in September, are young people - between 25 and 45 years old. Quite logically, 80% of those who want to relax on a camping site in nature are residents of the big cities Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas and Stara Zagora, according to the survey.

This year, however, there is an increased interest from Bulgarians living abroad, as well as from foreigners who choose to spend their vacation at Bulgarian campsites. The countries from which tourists are looking for a camping holiday on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are Germany, Great Britain, the USA, the Netherlands, including neighbouring Romania and Greece.

"We can safely say that in September the summer season continues in full force for all those who prefer to relax in nature. Expectations are that the good weather will last longer, which is also a prerequisite for more demand. A trend in bookings this year is that in September, a higher-class experience is being sought - caravans and bungalows that provide all amenities and comfort to visitors", says the founder of the platform Nikolay Nekov.

Inquiries about providing amenities for babies and toddlers, such as a cot, for example, have also increased. This shows that more and more parents with younger children are opting for camping holidays, which provide the opportunity to play outside and disconnect from screens. Among the tourists' preferences is that the accommodation is also suitable for pets.

Last-minute offers are also popular this season, offering special conditions in the next 7-10 days. People are also looking for additional activities to visit during their vacation. That's why this season the platform team is organizing a series of yoga events on the beach.
