Today is a day of national mourning for the victim of the flooding

Today, Friday, 8 September has been declared a day of national mourning, by the government, for the people who lost their lives in the flooding in Tsarevo municipality on 5 September.  

Two men and two women lost their lives in the flood. Life in the region affected is gradually getting back to normal, the causes of the tragedy are being analyzed. By order of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, an interdepartmental expert commission is to be set up to look into the state of the infrastructure and the reasons for the calamity along the Southern portion of Bulgaria’s black Sea coast.
