The co-chairman of the parliamentary group of We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria, General Atanas Atanasov, resigned as Chairman of the Committee for Control of the Security Services, the Application and Use of the Special Intelligence Means and the Data Access under the Electronic Communications Act. His application submitted to the National Assembly President does not state the reasons for his resignation.

Atanas Atanasov said for "Dnevnik" that this was his response to Boyko Borissov’s refusal to support his proposal to merge the Military Intelligence and the State Intelligence Agency. MP Boyko Rashkov from "We Continue the Change", former Minister of Interior, will be nominated for the vacant position.
