Night of Literature 2023 will take place in 15 Bulgarian towns and one village

Excerpts, monologues and verses by 21 European authors will be read today in 16 locations during the Night of Literature. The aim of the European initiative is to introduce the public to contemporary European poetry and prose through literary readings. 

Excerpts from the books selected by the embassies and cultural institutes will be read by famous actors. The audiences will make up their own itinerary according to their preferences. Among the selected authors are Wislawa Szymborska, Piia Leino, Italo Calvino, John Boyne, Stefan Hertmans, and Gasca Sheehan. 

Night of Literature 2023 will be held in Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Dobrich, Kyustendil, Lovech, Montana, Pernik, Plovdiv, Ruse, Silistra, Smolyan, Stara Zagora and the village of Chavdar.
