Bulgaria has offered treatment to three people injured in a fuel depot explosion in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Health Ministry's press office said. The incident occurred on September 25. On the following day, the EU's Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) asked the EU member states to provide aid. The injured were transported onboard a Spartan aircraft of the Bulgarian Air Force at the request of the Bulgarian Ministry of Health.
"The injured are in a serious condition, they have deep burns, but have a chance to live", Health Minister Hristo Hinkov said for BNT.
Later the head of the Burns and Plastic Surgery Clinic at Pirogov Emergency Hospital, Professor Maya Argirova, announced that the patients had been stabilized and they were to undergo surgeries. Two of them are with 50% burns and the third one is with 80% burns.
