The police have detained seven migrants in Petrohan Pass in the Balkan Range, the Interior Ministry regional directorate in Montana has announced.

The foreign nationals were without papers and stated they were Syrian. While patrolling during the night, the officers noticed a speeding car in Barzia village which refused to stop. A 15-km. car chase ensued along the winding road up to the top, where the driver turned onto a dirt road, got out of the car and disappeared.

The migrants found inside the vehicle will be sent to an accommodation centre. This is the third group of migrants detained in Montana region since the beginning of the year.
