President of the National Council of Austria to get acquainted with security of Bulgaria’s border

The President of the National Council of Austria Wolfgang Sobotka arrives on an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of President of the National Assembly Rosen Zhelyazkov.

Sobotka and Zhelyazkov will visit a section of the land border, where they will examine the facilities and surveillance systems. The two will get acquainted with the activities of the "Border Police" and with the control and measures to prevent attempts for illegal entry, according to the requirements and standards applied in the Schengen area. After that, the two will visit the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing to monitor the border control of passing vehicles and persons.
