Unit 6 of Kozloduy NPP has been shut down for planned repairs

The only NPP in Bulgaria - Kozloduy, started today the annual planned repair of one of its two units - Unit 6. The shutdown has been coordinated with the Electricity System Operator. Repairs and maintenance of the systems are expected to be completed by the end of November. The reactor of Unit 6 will be refueled with fresh nuclear fuel.

Unit 5 of the plant is operating according to the power generation schedule.
