The Bulgarian Tennis Federation has refused to host the ATP 250 Sofia Open due to "circumstances beyond its control". The reason is the possible run-off of the local elections, which does not allow the capital's Arena Sofia hall to host the tournament.

Due to the martial law declared in Israel, the Association of professional tennis players ATP proposed to the Bulgarian federation Sofia to replace Tel Aviv as the organizer of the tournament, planned to be held from November 4 to 11 this year.

In the short time, the Bulgarian federation managed to secure the necessary permits, but despite the efforts, an adequate hall was not found for such a global event.
