One week before local election, PP/DB candidate for Sofia is 10 percentage points ahead of GERB candidate: survey

Support in the Bulgarian capital city for the candidate for Sofia mayor of We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria (PP/DB) Vassil Terziev is 32.9%. Support for Anton Hekimyan, nominated by GERB/SDS stands at 22.9%, followed by Vanya Grigorova, supported by the Bulgarian Socialist Party, at 20.8%, according to a representative survey, conducted by Sova Harris October 16-20, and commissioned by PIK agency. The margin of error is 3.1%. The candidate of Vazrazhdane party Deyan Nikolov has the support of 13.1%, Vili Lilkov, nominated by the coalition Blue Sofia – 4%.

Only 53.2% of all people in Sofia over the age of 18 are interested in the elections and believe they are important. 31.8% of the respondents say they do not deserve any attention, 14.4% are hesitant whether they will vote or not, and 42% say they will cast their vote, the survey shows.
