Bulgaria and UK sign strategic partnership declaration

A joint declaration of strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the UK was signed in London by Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel and UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly.

“The declaration is an expression of the two countries’ strong ambition for closer cooperation in key spheres: foreign policy, security and defence, justice and home affairs, economic and trade cooperation, technologies, science, health, education, culture and the environment,” Mariya Gabriel said.

“One of the aims is mutual recognition of national documents certifying completion of different levels of school and university education,” the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs points out.

Agreement was also reached on holding an annual foreign policy dialogue between the UK and Bulgaria.
