The efforts for the restoration of Luvino village near Isperih, which was hit by a powerful storm on Saturday, 4 November, continue.
According to mayor Belgin Shukri, three roofs have been restored, and work on another 13 continues. The number of roofs in the village destroyed by the storm is 165 in total. Teams from the electricity distribution company are working to restore the more than 30 electric power poles brought down by the storm, so as to restore power in the whole village.
The emergency situation in the village of Dolets in Dulovo municipality, which was also struck by the storm, will remain in place until the end of the week. More than 60 houses in the village have been seriously affected. Volunteers from neighbouring villages, from the municipality and the Gorata.bg platform are helping the villagers. A damage control team has been put together, consisting of long-term unemployed. The first aid packages – food, water and cleaning supplies, as well as building materials arrived in the village today.
