Bulgaria is presented as a year-round tourist destination during the 43rd edition of the World Travel Market (WTM) – a leading international tourism exhibition, which takes place from November 6 to 8, 2023 in London.

This year, Bulgarian tourism is presented with a stand on an area of over 304 square meters in the Europe Hall, bgtourism.bg reports. Together with the Ministry of Tourism, 23 other representatives of the tourism sector have confirmed their participation. The focus is placed on the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria, which will be presented through virtual reality equipment and rich VR content in Bulgarian and English. Visitors will get to know the medieval Boyana Church, Heracleia Sintica, Tsarevgrad, the Samovodska Street of Veliko Tarnovo, the magic of the Magurata Cave, the ancient Villa Armira, etc.

Presentations with tastings of selected Bulgarian wines are also planned. Guests will get to know the possibilities for wine and culinary tourism in north-eastern Bulgaria, the Thracian Plain and the Rose Valley, Southern Sakar, the Struma Valley, the Western and Central Danube Plain. Each of the regions will be presented with a wine typical of the terroir, as well as through maps illustrating the wine routes and related tourist attractions and specifics.

The presentations will take place at 12:00. and at 3:00 p.m. at the Bulgarian stand N6-210 on each of the three days of the exhibition.

World Travel Market /WTM/ is the world's largest exhibition for professional audience in the field of travel industry and the second largest travel expo after ITB - Berlin. In 2022, more than 35,800 professionals visited the exhibition. It is expected that the interest will be even greater this year.
