The 32nd Antarctic expedition team on board the Bulgarian scientific research ship "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" has departed from Varna. One of the main tasks is the delivery of a new modern scientific laboratory, in which the researchers will be able to work at the Bulgarian base "St. Kliment Ohridski" on Livingston Island. Work on 10 new projects is expected to start. For the first time, biologists and geologists will conduct parallel studies of the seafloor sediments in the vicinity of the base and of the microorganisms and invertebrates that live in the mud and in the water.
