1,600 police will secure the area around the Vasil Levski national stadium in Sofia before, during and after the Bulgaria vs. Hungary European Qualifier match on 16 November.

The match will be played to empty stands, as it is regarded as a high-risk game. In the past ten days there has been utter chaos regarding the location for the holding of the match, which was transferred from Sofia to Plovdiv, Kurdzhali and then back to Sofia.

A protest by football fans is scheduled for 5 PM tomorrow. During the past month, football fans have been shouting “Resign!” in the 18th minute of every match from the championship, in protest against the president of the Bulgarian Football Union Borislav Mihaylov and his team, who have been running the union for the past 18 years.
