Part of the area around the St. Alexander Nevski cathedral in the centre of Sofia is now a pedestrian zone.
This is one of the first decisions by the new mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev, in response to a request submitted years ago by Boris Bonev from Save Sofia, and supported by almost 20,000 people.
