A prayer for the health of Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte is taking place in all Orthodox churches across the country. His Holiness Neophyte was hospitalized in the Military Medical Academy because of a lung disease.

The first call for such a service was made by the Holy Metropolis of Sofia, which asked the clergy of the diocese to include special prayers during today's Holy Liturgy.

Yesterday, the Holy Synod said that Patriarch Neophyte's health condition is improving and the bishops hope to celebrate Christmas together with their spiritual leader.
