On December 4 the Serbian police detained for 30 days a man from Bosilegrad with initials L. G. on suspicion of revealing military secrets to Bulgaria. According to a press release from the Supreme Prosecutor's Office in Vranje, the man was arrested on suspicion of espionage, BTA reported. 61 year-old Lyuben Grigorov was arrested at his home after a long tracking by the Serbian authorities.
Police searched the detainee’s home and confiscated his computer, BGNES reported. The detainee is a retired reserve officer from the former Yugoslav army and has never been politically active. He worked in the municipal cultural centre and owned a small shop. Grigorov was accused of providing information about personnel changes in the Serbian army, the size of the army, the armament of the units and the situation in Eastern Serbia.
