Children “capture” the world that makes them smile

Photo: mlsp.government.bg

Moments shared with family and friends, the favourite hobby, pets, time spent in nature are the things that shape the world that makes children happy – this was the guiding idea in the many photographs by students from all over Bulgaria who took part in the photo competition “The world that brings a smile!” by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science.

The contest challenged school-goers in Bulgaria to “capture” the things that make them smile in photographs. Dozens of schools from all over the country took part in three age groups 1 – 4 grade, 5 – 7 grade and 8 – 12 grade.

In the group of the youngest, the award went to the photograph taken by Valentin Goshev, who is in the 3rd grade at the St. Paisius of Hilendar school in Sotirya village. The boy took a picture of “the last sunrays through the first friendly smiles”.
