Bulgarians stranded in a bus at Hungary’s border for more than 9 hours

Three buses part of organized excursions from Bulgaria to Vienna have been stuck at the Serbian-Hungarian border since 4 o'clock in the morning on Saturday. There are children among the passengers. “As far as I understand, there is a pregnant woman in one of the other Bulgarian buses. We don't have that much food left anymore, nor enough water," Eleonora Stoykova, who is traveling in one of the blocked buses, has told the BNR.

"We called the embassy in Hungary, where they answered that serious checks are underway, given that Hungary is an external Schengen border, but so far we haven't seen any checks actually going on in any of the buses. The Hungarian authorities give us absolutely no explanations. Everyone's patience has ran out. The children are already tired, nervous and hungry. We don't even have a toilet. We are literally in the middle of nowhere. It's terrible," Stoikova says.
