The twenty-second donor situation in Bulgaria for 2023 was realized on the eve of December 31 in the Sofia-based hospital Saint Anna, reported the Bulgarian Ministry of Health. This happened after relatives of a 35-year-old woman who went into brain death made the noble decision to give other people a chance at life.

According to data from the Medical Supervision agency of the Ministry, in the past 2023, 21 noble decisions for organ donation have given a chance for life to 48 people - 42 Bulgarians and 6 EU citizens.
