More than two-thirds of the passengers at Sofia Airport will pass through the terminals faster once Bulgaria enters Schengen by air on 31 March because there will be no passport control, said Jesus Caballero, CEO of the company operating Sofia airport, in an interview with Sega news website. The free passage corridors will open overnight. “We have been ready for a long time because we passed several checks by the EU, which also contributed to the accession to Schengen,” he said further.
