The date for the abolition of checks at the land borders of the Schengen area will be discussed in 2024, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel in Parliament. ''The decision reads that after the accession to Schengen by air and sea on March 31, there will be a date in 2024 for the lifting of checks at the land borders. After March 31, Bulgaria will no longer be an observer at the decision-making table.
