Hristo Botev Bulgarian School, New York is to host for the first time in New York Professor Dr. Anton Andonov for a Bulgarian Folk Dance Workshop! Professor Andonov is currently the Head of the Choreography Department at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts - Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He is author of numerous academic publications and scientific works on Bulgarian Folk Dance.
Professor Andonov also serves as a ballet-master at the Trakia Folklore Ensemble - Plovdiv and as a choreographer at the Sunny Beach Folklore Ensemble - Nessebar. He is a lecturer on the subject of Traditional Bulgarian Dance and Folklore in Bulgaria, France, Belgium, Italy, England, Greece, Serbia, USA, Japan, South Korea and other countries. Professor Andonov serves as a jury member in numerous international and national competitions and festivals.
