Bulgaria and the USA respond together to regional and global challenges

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel has met with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

They discussed the strategic dialogue between Bulgaria and the USA and common approaches to global and regional issues. "Support, coordination and a common response to challenges are the key words. I am glad that as allies and partners we are meeting the challenges together," Gabriel said. The two also discussed Bulgaria's strategic position in NATO for the security in the Black Sea region and the European perspective of the Western Balkans. "I thank the Assistant Secretary of State for his support and willingness to jointly respond to today's challenges," Mariya Gabriel said.
