Police are searching properties of businessman Vasil Bozhkov

Teams of the Sofia Directorate of the Ministry of Interior and the national police are searching the properties of businessman Vasil Bozhkov, who returned from Dubai last year, BNR learned.

According to anonymous sources, police officers are looking for evidence related to the murder of businessman Alexey Petrov. So far, there is no official information about the reasons for the actions taken. After the search is completed, all materials will be reported to the prosecutor's office, police authorities announced.

"This is yet another act of political repression. They act like in 2020. They lie to the media and create shows for the audience. Times are different now", commented Vasil Bozhkov on his Facebook profile. He stated that he had nothing to do with Alexey Petroж. According to the businessman, there is a junta of two persons in Bulgaria - Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borisov, and attached to them "We Continue the Change" and the like, and an artificial opposition created by Vazrazhdane party, which is their avatar.

On September 5, the Sofia Court of Appeal imposed house arrest on the businessman with an electronic wristband. A total of 19 charges have been brought against him, including for non-payment of gambling fees, which damaged the state with BGN 700 million, as well as instigation for four murders.
