In the next 12 months Bulgaria is going to need more than 268,000 workers and specialists in various spheres, according to a study of employer needs by the National Employment Agency. Of these 268,000, the country will need 160,000 qualified specialists, plus 58,000 people with qualifications or with a university degree and no less than 49,000 workers. Demand will be highest in industry – 82,000 or over 30% of all openings. The number of employers who state they will find it difficult to find staff is going down.
In the next few years, employers are going to need 243,000 university graduates and 444,000 specialists with secondary education. The region of Burgas is going to need the highest number of staff, followed by Sofia, Varna and Plovdiv.
