The municipality of Belitsa in Bulgaria's Rila Mountain will officially name a street in Semkovo ski resort in honour of the digital nomads who have united their efforts in revitalizing the ski resort and turning it into a hub for remote workers from all over the world.

The opening of "Nomad Place 1" street will take place in Semkovo on January 28 in the presence of official guests.

The ceremony coincides with the launch of the second part of the modern community for co-living and working in Bulgaria's Rila Mountain called Coliving Semkovo. The building is located at Nomad Place 1 Street and was built during Socialism as a hotel which was subsequently abandoned. The building has now been entirely renovated.

With the help of digital nomads from all over the world, the complex is gradually turning into an attractive hub with dozens of separate studios and 8 thousand square meters shared spaces for remote work and entertainment in the heart of the Rila Mountains. A significant part of the re-equipped studios have already been sold, and along with the intensified advertising campaign of the digital community, interest in Semkovo is also growing abroad.
The initiator of Coliving Semkovo is the German businessman Matthias Zeitler, who is also the founder of the so-called Coworking Bansko - the project that established the nearby ski resort Bansko as the capital of digital nomads.

The official opening of the new street "Nomad Place 1" coincides with another pleasant initiative of the Municipality of Belitsa. On January 28, the traditional assembly "Winter Vacation - Semkovo" 2024 will take placeDuring the holiday, mummers from Bansko will drive away evil spirits with a traditional ritual, after which there will be performances of folklore ensembles.
