The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan, is paying an official visit to Bulgaria. His visit began on the evening of January 29 with a meeting with Mustafa Karadayı, who resigned as a chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. "We discussed the good neighborly and friendly relations between Bulgaria and Turkiye", Musfata Karadayi wrote on Facebook. Türkiye’s Ambassador to Bulgaria, Aylin Sekizkok, also attended the meeting.

Hakan Fidan is expected to meet in Sofia with his Bulgarian counterpart Mariya Gabriel, representatives of the legislative and executive authorities and the Grand Mufti.
