The first group of Spanish scientists and logisticians have already left the Bulgarian military research ship "Sts. Cyril and Methodius". They are headed to the Spanish Antarctic base "Juan Carlos I", which is located on Livingstone Island.

The Spanish Antarctic explorers worked on their research activities together with the Bulgarian crew on board the ship. Before the Spanish Antarctic explorers departed, the ship entered the South Bay of Livingstone Island, where the “St. Kliment Ohridski" and "Juan Carlos I" bases are located. The Bulgarian ship returned from a short visit to the Argentinian scientific "Carlini" station on King George Island.
