At the prosecutor’s office registry there are 25 case files and pre-litigation procedures connected with Martin Bozhanov a.k.a The Notary. This was announced after acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov ordered probes concerning Bozhanov who was murdered a few days ago. Bozhanov was a party to these case files and pre-litigation procedures which date back to 2004 – as defendant, appellant, witness.
Due to numerous refusals to open pre-litigation procedures, mostly by prosecutors from the Sofia regional prosecutor’s office, a review has been initiated of all acts with the aim of establishing the legality of the actions of the supervising magistrates, the prosecutor’s office has announced.
