At a meeting in Kyiv with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of the Bulgarian National Assembly Rosen Zhelyazkov pointed out, that Bulgaria will continue to render Ukraine military, humanitarian and political support for as long as it takes. Later, at a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Rosen Zhelyazkov said that Bulgaria supports all twelve EU sanctions packages imposed on Russia "in response to its illegal military aggression against Ukraine". Rosen Zhelyazkov also stressed that Bulgaria supports the development of "solidarity corridors" aimed at facilitating food exports from Ukraine through different land and maritime routes. For his part, Prime Minister Shmyhal expressed gratitude for the military-technical, humanitarian and political assistance from friendly Bulgaria.
