Mariya Gabriel pays visit to Egypt with 5 cabinet ministers

Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel has arrived on an official one-day visit to Egypt – the first in 12 years.

The Bulgarian delegation accompanying her includes Defence Minister Todor Tagarev, Minister of Transport Georgi Gvozdeykov, Minister of Economy Bogdan Bogdanov, as well asEnergy Minister Rumen Radev and Minister of Innovation and Growth Milena Stoycheva.

Mariya Gabriel is to hold talks with the Prime Minister of Egypt Mostafa Madbouly and with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry. During the visit, the first sitting will take place of the joint cooperation commission, chaired by the foreign ministers of the two countries; bilateral memoranda are to be signed.

A meeting with the Bulgarians community in Egypt is also to be held.
