The Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber described the ongoing protests as political

The Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber distanced itself from the agricultural organisations that continue the protests, accusing them of pursuing political and personal goals. There is no division within the Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber. We continue to be united and uphold the demands of our members which represent more than 10,000 farmers, the chamber said in a statement regarding the behaviour of one of its member organizations.

"The escalation of protests instead of constructive talks in a situation of upcoming cabinet rotation adds a political nuance and serves the resolution of political and personal, rather than industry issues," reads the position of the Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber. According to the Bulgarian Agricultural Chamber, a Law on Branch Organizations should be adopted, which would legitimize all structures in the agricultural sector.
BAC describes the ongoing protests as a 'PR campaign' serving political purposes and urges agricultural producers not to succumb to suggestions aimed at resolving personal rather than industry problems.
