We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria (PP/DB) have drafted a memorandum which they want to be transformed into an agreement of governance of the country, and want it to be signed by GERB/SDS.

According to We Continue the Change co-chair Kiril Petkov, the document will be public and if it is not approved by GERB/SDS, then PP/DB would be prepared to go to the polls in an early election simultaneously with the election for European Parliament. The basic principles proposed in the memorandum are: Continuing the European development and Euro-Atlantic course of Bulgaria; entry into the Eurozone and full integration into the Schengen area; implementing effective reforms in the administration; continuing the reforms in the justice system; combatting corruption and reinforcing the security services and systems, with a special focus on the election of members of the regulatory authorities.

“From a purely technical point of view, on 6 and 7 March we cannot be there for the rotation, because that is when the congress of the European People’s Party will be taking place in Bucharest,” said GERB leader Boyko Borissov in Kostenets. The forum will be attended by Boyko Borissov, Mariya Gabriel as well as Bulgarian MEPS.
