General Philippe Lavigne is visiting Bulgaria

NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, General Philippe Lavigne is paying a visit to Bulgaria until March 8, the press center of the Ministry of Defense has reported. 

The focus of his talks with the Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov are issues of mutual interest related to the defense planning of the Alliance, interoperability, investments in collective defense and in projects with multinational and joint funding in which Bulgaria participates. According to the press office of the presidency, the Bulgarian President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Rumen Radev will also hold a meeting with General Lavigne. It is expected that the general will also have talks with outgoing PM Nikolai Denkov, outgoing Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev and the MP of the Defense Committee in the National Assembly.
