Rock resurgence: "Onward" goes Toma Zdravkov

After a number of exciting performances in different genres and on different stages, it was only a matter of time before Toma Zdravkov returned to the raw rock sound with his latest release. Appropriately titled "Napred" ('Onward'), this track reflects Toma's ongoing evolution, fuelled by a wealth of diverse experiences. Originally considered under the working title of 'Leap' due to the singer's idea of stage diving into the crowd with the first drumbeat, the final choice of 'Onward' was rooted in the song's profound message, as Toma explains:

"Onward' - yes, because I'm moving forward. But not only that - 'Onward' is a reminder to not only look ahead, but to have the support of those closest to you - your friends. The song is really about friendship. I want to say hello to all my friends with this song and I hope that when people hear it they will play it for their best friend and greet them too. Because really, friends are an essential part of our lives and if you don't have friends, you really don't have anything.

Indeed it was with good friends that the song was created. The music is by Toma Zdravkov, who wrote the lyrics together with Rumen Gaidev - Garo. Toma made the arrangement with the whole band that bears his name - TOMA. The video to the song is vibrant, fiery, and brimming with energy. Revealing that "Onward" is the first of a series of new original songs, Toma says he is looking forward to collecting them into an album.
